It was freezing in the 70s now its roasting. In reality the climate is increasing at a constant and slight rate - big deal. This increase has probably done more good than harm in terms of increased rainfall, longer growing seasons and a dramatic improvement in crop production . Nature is magnificent in that it constantly adapts to any change. Mans presence is just a blip in geographic time. Man will never control nature and life on this planet will go on one way or another. Trying to control nature is futile usually resulting in worse unintended consequences. Look at the millions who die from malaria now that we banned DDT. Look at the food riots in third world countries as we shift much of our food into biofuel. What catastrophies will we create when we limit energy which is the engine of growth and prosperity?

It must be in mans nature to fear catastrophy with the elements.
