Science fact 1: CO2 rises about 800 years AFTER global temps rise. Science fact 2: CO2 current levels are historically low (on a geologic time scale). Science fact 3: The Americas (North and South) have enough coal and recoverable oil for 400+ years. Science fact 4: The Green River shale deposits in the 4-Corners area of southwest Colorado contains about 800 billion barrles of oil - three times Saudi Arabia. Science fact 5: We are at the peak of an interglacial period and due for a temperature nosedive into a glacial period at least comparable to the Little Ice Age, perhaps worse. Finally, I am glad I'm retiring to the Tropics. The new ice age will make things there quite balmy and nice. You all are invited to visit. I'll keep a couple cold ones on tap for you.
