Over at the Big Hollywood blog, “Not Evil Just Wrong” co-producer Phelim McAleer shows (on video) how hypersensitive climate alarmist celebrities are when asked about their flying habits. He walked around at the premiere of “The Age of Stupid” — a documentary that claims the human race will be extinct by 2055 because of climate change — with a microphone and camera, and it wasn’t long before he was whisked from the media area (despite having credentials). Director Franny Armstrong, who apparently has jetted around at a good clip to promote the film, claimed that she’d been absolved by the high priest of climate condemnation thanks to the purchase of carbon offset indulges.

I always think of the fat guy who "offsets" the big cheeseburger with a "diet" coke. Same thing and same reasoning…self deception and a tad crazy.
Planting trees to offset carbon???? The tree saplings are already growing someplace. They are merely transplanted in the name of C02 and would be planted somewhere with or without an offset. It's absolutely raving nuts…their reasoning.
My wood fire is carbon neutral. Not that in matters. CO2 is plant food. CO (carbon monoxide) kills. The fuss is about using junk science for political ends. A dog catcher cannot be elected (he thinks) without cowtowing to the 15% environmemntalist who are anti-everything. Moreover, a single politician can create chaos by calling for specific unnecessary climate related legislation leading to exponential regulation for no reason except their own ego trip. Notice any of that in the newspaper?
Governmental environmental bodies were seized long ago by true believers. The EPA is completely unscientific and omnipotent. That needs to change.
