Pawlenty says to be responsible, but not a nut. Makes sense to me. He did get caught up in Leith Anderson's Greenland ice crusade, but Pawlenty is smart about such things- he read the full story and realized that Greenland is not the issue, so now he moderates his position a bit. Look at the words- it is a clear adjustment, it is not a flip-flop by and stretch of words or imagination.

What Pawlenty was saying two years ago is similar to what Pat Michaels and Robert Balling say in their newest book- the climate was warming a little bit, there was almost surely some anthropogenic contribution, but it is not a crisis even though it is likely to eventually start to warm again around 2020 or so. Flip-flop?? Has anyone else ever changed their opinion when faced with new information showing that your old opinion is wrong (isn't that what just came out of the BBC recently)? Give the guy a break - he just found out that he was wrong and HE IS ADMITTING IT! Isn't that refreshing for a politician?!

Excuse me? Flip-flop??
