All of Greenland has melted in each interglacial period (there have been four interglacial periods) over the last 400,000 years. Why do we not expect it to melt this time? Why do we think we can do anything about it?

Simsurf, the argument is NOT about the CO2 levels per se. It is about the sequence. The Global warming postulation is that global temperatures are rising because of the of an increase in CO2 levels attributable to human activity. The actuality is that the CO2 level trail the rise in temperature, CO2 does not cause a rise in temperature, it is a result of it. Climate change, and the resulting natural fluctuations in temperature have been a natural phenomena since the dawn of terrestrial time.

Now will someone please hack into Diebold's server and look for what they wrote in their comment fields for voting machines; say, the code that runs in hidden processors embedded into components that outside skilled in the art people would observe as 'just an ordinary UART' or 'just a memory chip', etc.

Ha Ha I like the unskeptic comment… CO2's greenhouse gas properties, its expected temperature enhancement with increases and are measured increases of CO2…. somehow equates to the world being about to end and its our fault. 2+2=57,000. Brad R, totally agree, its really not that simple.

simsurf: Unfortunately, global warming *is* high school science. Those of us that went to university know about things like IR spectra for different gases, the logarithmic curve for CO2 absorption (see e.g. http://brneurosci.org/co2.html), the power law for blackbody radiation, selection bias in statistics, and difference between correlation and causation. Basic stuff, but not as simple as you'd like to believe.

This whole website is ridiculous, global warming is high school science. Carbon Dioxide is a greenhouse gas. Increase the amounts of carbon dioxide and the erath gets warmer. Basic law of thermodynamics. I think it is pretty sad if your life is dedicated to coming up with conspiracery theories that don't exist.
