It show that the earth has been having warming ( and cooling ) cycles every 100 – 110,000 years for the last 420,000 years. This also show cycles in the CO2 and methane that correspond with the temperature cycles.

There's already been an AP article by David Stringer ("Scientist lashes out at hackers"), printed here in The Denver Post. It echoes the party line that I've seen from Mann, Jones, et all that these were just honest scientists arguing vigorously among themselves, and the unwashed are too stupid to understand. The Post is home ground for Trenberth; they quote him ad nauseam.

Obama has already announced his intent to go to Hopenhagen and offer some impossible CO2 reductions; that's the clue that denial is the party line. Anyone watching the unprecedented claims these guys have made for years understands they've dug in waaaaay too deep to quit now. That's the "real" Trenberth.

Unless Trenberth comes clean, I hope people with subpoena power hang him for fraud (hyping the "crisis" for additional funding) and violation of the Freedom of Information Act (he's got to be wondering if NCAR has copies of emails he wasn't able to delete).

This guy has a Ph.D. from MIT, and studied under one of the most respected meteorologists of the Century (Ed Lorenz). I don't think he's done much for the good reputation of our profession nor the memory of Prof Lorenz. I'm a retired meteorologist. Consider me unsympathetic. Guess I'm out of the jury pool.
