However, the EPA now wants to control the amount of C02 in the atmosphere, something which is impossibe for the EPA or anyone to do. The EPA will spend huge amounts of money attempting to do the impossible. C02 is breathed in by plant life which exhales oxygen which we and all animal life inhale and then exhale C02. It may surprise you to learn that our present atmosphere is the planet's third atmosphere. There was no oxygen in the atmosphere until plant life had exhaled enough oxygen for animal life to develop. C02 in the atmosphere has been 20 times higher in the past. It is that C02 which allowed plant life to grow rapidly. At present, the increasing C02 in the atmosphere is allowing plant life to grow more rapidly. The planet is recovering from the last ice age and hopefully will continue to recover until we go into another ice age and the cycle starts again.
