The U.S. needs only to look at the EU for how cap and trade has failed. Their economy is suffering and the scheme has done nothing to curb CO2. Further, China and India are responsible for the vast majority of the air pollution and they will never sign on to a multilateral agreement to curb CO2. President Obama should chuck his energy plan! We don't want it piece mealed in chunks. Bad policy is bad policy. We have abundant supplies of natural gas in the U.S. already that would not hold us hostage to foreign control. Hopefully the days of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid in leadership are very numbered, but there are plenty of others waiting in line to take over their harmful positions in the future. So true, Marita.
