We continue to "shoot ourselves in the foot" with stupid rulings by officials ignorant as babes in the woods of the natural world. I believe a geological course in world history would eliminate travesties such as the endangered polar bear. It should be introduced at the High School level to counter the utter nonsence of creation science. and other fuzzy idiologies.

Dangerous outbreaks of Common Sense seem to be more and more frequent.
CAGW never seems to fare very well when it gets itself under the legal microscope.
If we are going to worry about Polar Bears.......and we should....we should start with not hunting and killing them.

On an August goose hunting trip in Canada in the 1970's I encountered Polar bears near the southern end of Hudson Bay, indicating they can survive far south of their usual range along the Arctic ocean. Lucky for us one of our party had enough slug loads to arm ourselves properly if threatened. All you need is a climate graph of the Holocene to see that there have been 4 warming periods during the 10,000 years since the last glaciation melted away which would have freed the Northwest Passage of ice, spoiling the Arctic ocean for seal hunting. Our biggest problem is excessive environmentalism and politicians and judges with little knowledge of the natural world. And the fact that greenhouse gases are not our enemy but our only support from a return of the next Pleistocene glaciation.
