It looks like the coal producers in Pennsylvania, Kentucky and West Virginia will be out of jobs when the EPA gets done with them. It is a shame that "clean coal" is not good enough for the Obama posse, since we have an abundance of coal reserves here in the USA. You would think that, since the global warming scientists have been proven to be fudging the stats for monetary reasons, and global warming, if at all, appears to be more of a natural cycle rather than man made, the wing-nuts at the EPA might relax a little on the job killing, economy strangling regulations. But no, that would be using common sense and a modicum of caring, which has no place at the EPA or in Obama's government.

I have read quite a few articles, stories, and posts regarding these new EPA rules in Texas. This post is the best I have read so far! Many are saying these EPA rules, in which compliance is expected in 6 months, are going to require the shutdown of several power plants in Texas. Now, still others will say that the generating companies just don't want to spend the money to update their plants. They will say the executives are just greedy. Bull Corn! Note that just the other day our own Texas Public Utility Commissioner said we will have ROLLING OUTAGES next year if these regulations are forced upon the generators in Texas. This post explains why... Changes just don't occur that quickly in the grid. Also, what's the rush? Let's just continue the 'fuel switching trend' that seems to be happening now. (switching from coal to natural gas). Nat. gas burns fairly clean and we have found a mother lode of the stuff in the recent years. Enough to last HUNDREDS of years!! Again, great post! Thank you. I am glad to have found this site. You got a new reader!
