Chu is a liability to the president. The best thing Obama could do to show that he is changing his approach to energy issues is to fire Chu, and replace him with someone from the energy industry. A nuclear scientist is the wrong person for the job, right now.

Until the disaster happened in Japan, Chu was advocating nuclear energy as the solution to our problems. He has never been a big supporter of distributed solar energy production, such as residential and small business.

Chu emphasizes development of new technology over pragmatic implementation of existing technology. New technology is important, but takes years to implement.

Support for the installation of existing available solar energy solutions would be more effective in creating jobs right away.

Chu must go, or the president risks not getting re-elected.

Great post! Don't understand how Chu still has his job. Of course . . . Holder's still there too, despite "Fast and Furious" deaths of two federal agents and more than 300 innocent Mexican civilians, . . . killed by the guns his department "walked."
