Anonymous, you obviously have no scientific background. If you study chemistry, study how green house gases effect the environment, you’ll realize humans make almost no difference to the environments.

First off, if Kyoto is approved, not only will everything go up in price, but the enviromentalist movement will probably be destroyed. The nations cannot possibly support an economy that is fixated on trying to fix a problem that is in fact not a problem. People say hurricane Katrina and other storms are caused by warming, YES that is possible, but warming trends have increased in the past 10,000 years.

Secondly, Al Gore doesn’t have to cite any of his sources for anything he put in his movie. You really think that he really knows what he is talking about? I love how people think he is such a great person, because he has NO scientific background and yet is gaining popularity because of the fact he was in politics.

Third, politicians get money from companies, lobbyists, and what not that promote this crap. Al Gore and everyone else gets filthy rich off of all this stuff and he has no credentials to tell people how CO2 bonds with Ions in the air and creates a green house effect.

Finally, why is it Gore is flying private jets all the way to China, Germany, US states etc? Shouldn’t he be flying in commercial jets because it’s a waste of fuel for him to use a private jet? The amount of fuel he spends flying every where is a significant amount! In his movie he drives a freaking SUV!!!!

You have no idea what you are talking about, you have no background, and you’re embarassing yourself. You really should never have opened your mouth on here.

Even if gloal warming would not be caused by humain activity (like the majority of the scientis say), warming up of the planet is happening, just open your eyes people! Look at the ice cape! Look at the Kilimanjaro! Look at the Rohne glacier in Switzerland!

And Al Gore received the Nobel price of peace because global warming is goning to cause BIG trouble (water level will rise because of the ice cape melting, storm and tornado are going to be more and more strong, etc, etc) people are goning to have to move, it will cause refugies, country are going to have to resolve all thoses probleme. It would not be peace anymore. And it's mostly poor contries who are going to be touch by global warming but EVERY contry will be touch, even the US, who think they are intouchable…

I can't believe that some people think they are more inteligent than most of the scientist…

Everyone on here in support of Gore's views on global warming continually states the catchphrases "fact the facts" or "it's a fact, global warming is…" Please. INSTEAD of telling us to face the facts that you continually shy away from actually posting, why don't you try and actually give us some of the facts that you claim are there. Show us. What are the facts that 'prove' global warming is happening.

Now, I'm not talking about minimal global warming. I do not want tiny bits of global climate change that merely substantiate the global warming and cooling cycle that happens about every 30 years or so. Give us concrete facts that show Gore's ideas on global warming are true. I have never seen any, and I doubt that I will because all of you who subscribe to Gore's views seem to me on the surface to be bleeding-heart liberals who just want a moral high ground at any cost without any foundation of certainty.

Sure, it's a great idea. Let's buy hybrids and outlaw old cars. While we're at it, why don't we outlaw old televisions, old washing machines, old air conditioners, old radios, and EVERYTHING else old that uses too much power. In fact, I think we should replace everything we use EVERY year so we can do what we can to curb global warming! Pipe down and realize, what I'm claiming we should do in this paragraph is about as full of nothing as the call to buy hybrids.

I, in fact, just bought a Prius. It's nothing special, and it only saves about 15-20% more than my new Mitsubishi Lancer. Not to mention is was about $5,000 more than the Lancer and doesn't have nearly the same options the Lancer does. What I'm trying to say here is that buying a hybrid does very little in actually changing anything. The new fuel cell cars and such, maybe those are better. But cars are not the end all solution. If you want to go for 'real change', change factory emissions. Oh wait, then you wouldn't be able to criticize almost everyone on the road, thus crippling the political campaign global warming has supported for Gore. Too bad. I guess we'll still have to continue pretending that hybrids are going to change the world for Gore's income's sake. Too bad…

Furthermore, I still say it doesn't matter, hybrid or regular 'old' car… THERE IS STILL NO PROOF OF GLOBAL WARMING. You can claim I am not "facing the facts" all you want, but that doesn't make global warming true and you know it. Show me some solid facts from CREDIBLE sources, and then we'll talk. But frankly, I don't think anyone can do it.
